The Northwest Territories Program of Canada include the regions of Dehcho, North Slave, Sahtu, South Slave and Inuvik. Their remote landscape encompasses forest, mountains, Arctic tundra and islands in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. Dehcho’s Nahanni National Park Reserve centers around the canyons of the South Nahanni River and 90m-high Virginia Falls. The regional capital, Yellowknife, is on the north shore of Great Slave Lake. The NWT includes three main regions: the Arctic Archipelago to the north, the arctic mainland and the Mackenzie Valley area. The arctic mainland, sometimes referred to as the Barren Lands, lies northeast of the treeline, and the Mackenzie Valley area to the west.

Why the Northwest Territories?

It is true that the remote location and environment may not be everyone’s first choice for their new home in Canada. But with such rich opportunities in diverse and exciting industries, this is a territory that deserves consideration.

Realistically, it can be challenging to get a job offer from abroad to work in a more populous province. However, the Northwest Territories is in great need of talented workers from all over the world, and a job offer here could lead to exactly the opportunity you and your family are looking for to work and live in Canada.
